Hi, thank you for the great content! Do you know why its not recommended to connect these batteries in series to get, for example 100 V battery pack, and it is okay to connect them in parallel? What is the problem with serial connection of these batteries? Thank you.

Great idea! Thnnks for sharing. Triganometry can be used to determine the positioning of the ram and correct force of the ram, using inverse SIN if I recall correctly, easy to find a calculator on the net. Much quicker than trial and error with positioning. Cheers

Just received my 100ah group 24 smart edition. The battery showed 7.66 volts right off the bat showing the battery was not shipped in a sleeping state. Hooked it to my charger and the battery state of charge showed 52%. Just sent a message to the company and waiting on their response…. NOT HAPPY WITH THIS BATTERY. Looking for a new brand of battery now

The charge controllers have 12 volt power supply output separate from the battery charging supply. Most power their 12 volt devices from the battery. I will assume that the 12 volt supply from the controller is much lower? Just for lights or something?

I bought one of these and was told there's a way to use a 100Ah LiFePo4 to extend the usable Watt-hours on it, since the proprietary supplemental battery is very expensive. Do you know of, or could you make a video of how that could be done? Thanks.

I can confirm that the carcinogenic smell is still alive and well after having the battery for 6 months. Also opened 2 of these batteries purchased 4 months apart. Different cells and bms's between each unit. One is jbd and the other is some no name.

I think you could use a step down transformer (I1V1 =I2V2) with solar panels in series if you wanted to go at a higher current but I would see the rating

This looks like a super cheap way to get 280Ah of capacity. Curious, once built, will this fit in a Group 24 Battery Box?

I personally prefer the serial balancers (I use to call them shuffle balancers) which balance a certain cell with its neigboring cells. They usually work as fast as the serial / parallel balancers because typically there are just a few cells in the chain out of balance. And these balancers require just half of the switches and s-1 capacitor banks to work. They require just a simple clock generator and 2 high current MOSFET drivers to work. They have furthermore less inner resistance. I build them by myself and I am happy with their performance. The clockfrequency I use is relatively high (50 kHz) in order to take advantage from a nearly constant balancer current which is proportional to the voltage difference between the neighboring cells and the cell to sink or source the current. Due to the lower inner resistance of the circuit I can reach 15 to 20 A balancer current at a voltage difference of 0.4 to 0.5 V with commercially availlable MOSFETs and low-ESR electrolytics (the last time I have used 2200 µF, 4 V electrolytics with 7 mOhm ESR 4 in parallel to achieve 1.75 mOhm ESR and 8800 µF and n-channel MOSFETs with an Ron of 1.1 mOhm and a total circuit inner resistance of 5 to 6 mOhm to balance LiFePO-cells with an inner resistance of 7 mOhm).

Getting back to the Licetti battery box, I still love this thing after a year of owning it❤ right now. I have it powering an overnight light downstairs, but it is capable of so much more. You can stack up to 4 batteries in parallel for 400 AH or buy 4 of them for 4 individual installations.🎉

EG4 batteries are cheaper. LiTime needs to get up to speed and lower their cost without lowering the quality.

Looks like they are making a good product at the right price point. Building a sizable battery and inverter solution is getting easier all the time.

Nice battery, I like the color touchscreen, looks like a Pace BMS, is that right?. But my preferred BMS would be the JK inverter BMS. I don't like that the cells are welded over the basbars and the cells are not replaceable. Are the BMS settings locked or can the user change them?

Glad it is the 51.2v (16s) ! (Some are doing 15s which is annoying and a lock-in trap, IMHO)

I like that they even have the pinouts printed on top. There is so much real estate on the top, more information and documentation makes sense.
